The Autocart is an electric, manually controlled piece of construction equipment developed by students at the New York Institute of Technology. The Autocart is designed for the transportation of equipment and materials across rugged work sites. Equipped with an all-terrain track system and interchangeable battery, the Autocart is ready for any job site.
About the Team

Justin Hadix
Head Researcher
Senior in Mechanical Engineering at New York Tech. His main tasks were to conduct preliminary research into similar existing products as well as possible codes and regulations. Finalized the structural design, also conducted stress analysis of final chassis parts using Solid works modeling.

Alexander Gilson
Lead Designer
Senior in Mechanical Engineering at New York Tech. Main task was to design the carts subframe and platform. Created initial design that was altered as project progressed.

Edwin Cardenas
Project Manager
Senior in Mechanical Engineering at New York Tech. Appointed as manager of project, was tasked with relaying information between the group and advisors. Performed initial calculations to find necessary components based on initial parameters. Designed track and suspension system for cart.
